Alot of other guidebooks seem to detail how many problems in each grade range are in each area. I have tried this. Yellow would be up to 4+, Blue 5 to 5+, Red 6a to 6c+, Black 7a onwards. Is this worth doing?
Note the spelling of Cloghoge I presonally prefer Cloghogue but will go with the OS on this one.
keep's the space used to a minimum and does the job well. Were does your spelling come from? Id go with the os just save confusion.
ReplyDeleteYip looks good to me, it's a handy metric to have when you're quickly browsing a guide.
ReplyDeleteLooking good Dave!
It works well and as tim said it doesn't take a lot of space which is good. You could always call it ben's font and save on the confusion .... plus I think it is a snappier name.
ReplyDeletePS I ended up doing some routes today so ill check in next week with the beginner circuit
Oh I also meant to say you may want to change the text from white to black in the yellow to make it easier to read
ReplyDeleteMy spelling is from the OS map. Simon I agree about the yellow but I want to keep the text white, I'm going to try and find a different shade of yellow that might look better. Thanks for the comments.
ReplyDeleteWhen you print it off the colours will be different, I'd say you might want to try out a sample page with some of these colours on them before you go to print just to make sure the colours transfer ok to the printed medium.
ReplyDeleteI did some topo's up for an article in outsider magazine earlier this year and the one of the colours got completely lost in the image once it was printed.
I'm doing to do a trial print from one of the printing on demand companies. I will have a page with lots of different shades of yellow to make sure I get the best one.
ReplyDeleteTry as Basic CMYK orange it will stand out more
ReplyDeletePS, shame about the arete/crack up on Foxborrow
Your right Lee it should be orange not yellow. Not sure what I was thinking.
